Personal life

Ken is married to Tina Achenbach, a retired French teacher who also serves with the Crawford Central Community Foundation and the Crawford County School for Adult Education. They have two grown sons and four grandchildren.

 

Tina and Ken enjoy many outdoor activities. Tina is an avid gardener, and together they cycle and kayak in the parks and trails that abound in the area. Life is good!

Teacher and Coach

Ken Achenbach's career as a teacher and football coach has helped him to formulate the theories that he brings to his presentation and to refine his workshops, creating a curriculum that is both inspiring and fun. 

Ken is recently retired from Crawford Central School District as a History teacher and Head Football Coach at Meadville Area High School. He has successfully led teams from Meadville and Saegertown High Schools to post-season play with well over 100 career wins. He also served as Assistant Football Coach at Allegheny College and at his alma mater, Thiel College. His full career credentials can be seen here.

Co-founder and Past President of Crawford Central Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded to enable all students to participate in academic, athletic and artistic activities regardless of family income. 

Current President of the Crawford County School for Adult Education, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit entity, being developed to serve adults ages 18 and over to provide quality education, services, and learning that will change lives and foster civic engagement
